Winter scene

Afternoon all.. Here's one of the samples I made for the SECC.. The background paper is from a paper pad, the house, mini wreath and sentiment come from the one set of stamps (Butterfly Kisses) and the snow flake is a Martha Stewart punch.. Coloured using Promarkers, snow on the house is liquid applique and I use my quickie glue pen and glitter just for a wee bit of sparkle.

One job done

Well that was a mad dash.. Was just getting ready to move and make a start on the day when the phone rang.. Lovely delivery man to tell me they'd be at the house in approx 10 mins with my new sofa.. I'm still in pj's!!! So ran upstairs to throw on some trackies and a jumper, downstairs to clear the window ledge so they can use it for moving the sofas, grabbed my demo stuff and threw it in the hall, hunted the cat upstairs, quick hoover of the carpet and they guys were here.. They were as quick as I was.. One sofa out and into the van and the new sofa in and against the wall quick as you like. Less than 20 mins from I received the call.. They've left and I'm sat on the new one with a cuppa in my hand. Lol.

Hopefully the rest of the day will be easier now as it was all having to fit in around the delivery before. Going to finish this wee coffee first then I can get my day organised. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I recognise this phone!!!

Morning all, just a quickie to start the day. I've got so much that needs to be done today before I leave for the NEC tomoz but decided to start with a seat on the sofa, large intake of caffeine and a wee bit of Kirstie's Handmade Britain.. Low and behold.. One of the first examples shown was this fab telephone which I recognised instantly. Lol. I was aware that Kirstie had borrowed a few samples from my lovely friends Anni and Yvonne at Damselfly Crafts for the show and here is one of them. So funny to see it popping up on the tv screen.. Just had to share it with you all but I'm going back to my coffee now whilst I watch the rest of the show.

Light alert

Morning all and just a quick note from me.. If you drive can you all do a winter lights check on your car lights please. I've passed 2 cars this morning in the dark and rain with NO rear lights whatsoever and 1 of them only had one front light too!!!! 2 bad accidents just waiting to happen.

It only takes a minute to check them and it could save a life.

Morning..

Well a very good morning to all you lovely folk out there and my apologies for the lack of blogging the last few days but its been non stop here and I mean non stop.

Wednesday got off to a fantastic start all calm and organised. Set up at the SECC went smoothly but then at 10pm shortly before heading to bed the volcano erupted and it was all systems go again which resulted in it being 3am before I got to sleep and the alarm went off again at 6am. Off to the show I went, had a lovely 30 minute break at 2pm where I managed to have a quick chat with a couple of people, but had to be satisfied with a bag of crisps as all sandwiches were sold out!!! Think I'll be buying lunch at 9am today. Lol. So when I got home last night I chilled on the sofa for a while, had a nice chinese for dinner then soaked in a bath before getting some much needed sleep.

Right now I'm off to get my make up on whilst drinking another cuppa of yummy coffee.. Well a girl needs plenty caffeine at this time in the morning. Lol. All going to plan I'll be heading out the door in a half hour for a nice leisurely jaunt to the show and hopefully I'll manage to catch up with some lovely folks before the doors open.

Calm before the storm

Afternoon all on what has actually been a pretty good day weather wise.. Let's hope it lasts!

Started with a nice lie in till 10.30 as it's my last for a while. Lol. Then got myself organised and poddled off out to do some ceramics and relax with the girls for a few hours (even more giggles than normal this week). Now it's back to normality, put the washing machine on and made a quick cuppa which I'm having as I type. Next I need to get the house in ship shape order so I don't have much to do over the coming days. Will start with the hoovering & dusting upstairs, quick wash down of the bathroom & en-suite then I'll get downstairs done. Tomorrow morning will be a quick tidy round before heading off to the SECC to meet up with everyone for set up before coming home to get my clothing organised for the 4 days (like to have them all just hanging up ready to pull on), demo kit to pack, eyebrows to shape, nails to file and paint etc, etc. Then it will be early to bed as the alarm will be ringing aloud at 5.30am Thursday morning. Snooze gets hit for the 1st half hour then I'm up, make the coffee, get ready and I'm out the door around 7.15am. Never quite know what morning traffic will be like heading in to Glasgow so I like to be on the safe side, though I normally arrive around 8am.. Giving me time to have a wander around and a wee chit chat before the doors open and off we go.. A day filled with demo's, lunch if you're lucky then re-stocking the stand in the evening before leaving for home. Soon as the front door is open, the shoes get kicked off, hubby gets my dinner on and I collapse on the sofa.. Wee soak in the bath and off to bed ready to repeat the process the following day.

Next Monday, I've got my replacement sofa being delivered, house to get spick & span again, case to pack for the NEC, halloween bags to make up then I can sit back and watch all the ghouls coming round for trick or treat. Then Tuesday I'm off in the van heading down to Birmingham to repeat the whole process over again.

Guess it's time to make a move now as the fairies aren't going to do the cleaning for me.

Afternoon all.. Hope everyone's having a good start to the week like I am. Today I've been making some tags for the SECC using these gorgeous 'Butterfly Kisses' stamps and AquaMarkers.. Now those are done it's time to put them aside and move onto my distress inks.

Later tonight I've also got to finish an order for a 65th birthday.. 1 card already done (mum) and another 2 to go (gran and great gran).

Simplicity

Afternoon all.. Well I've got a nice ham joint roasting away in the oven along some with potato gratin and I can't wait till it's ready as it smells delicious.

Had a lazy start to the day as one of my wee bunnies passed away, then hubby made lunch before I done some housework. Since then he's popped off to the gym and I've been playing with more stamps so it's been pretty chilled all afternoon and I think tonight will be a veg in front of the tv night with a big box of chocs.. Lol
Right, I'm off to have a nosey in the oven so will catch up with you all again later. Hope you all have a scrummy Sunday.

Down the street

Afternoon all.. Busy here working on samples today. Can't believe it's only a matter of days now till the show at the SECC, seems to have flown by. Thought I'd give you another wee sneaky peek to keep you going.. This time it's been coloured using AquaMarkers.

Not much else on the agenda today apart from the weekly shop and tomorrow I'm off to pick up some new tops for the NEC. Good excuse to treat myself. Lol.

NEC

Woohoo... Just had a fantastic phone call and I'm off to the NEC for the ICHF show.. So excited and looking forward to meeting so many avid craft enthusiasts during the duration of the show.

Now I need to curtail my excitement and get back to working on my samples for the SECC.

Family day

Evening all and apologies for the lateness of today's post but I was off visiting family today. It was a well overdue visit and I won't be leaving it as long again.

The afternoon was spent drinking coffee and eating scones whilst catching up and my cousin's wee girl Abbi was there too providing plenty entertainment. She's very quiet and well behaved but some of the looks you get when you say something silly are nothing less than classic.. Certainly has a few of her mum's characteristics in her. Lol. Another visit is planned for a fortnights time so really looking forward to that now.

Alas, it's time to get back to work and the last of my kit for the secc arrived this morning so I've got plenty to keep me going from now till then.. And without further delay.. I'm off to do some more stamping and colouring.

Hang up..

Afternoon all on what is a lovely sunny day but bbbrrrrr is it cold.. Lol. Lucky I've got plenty to keep me busy indoors just now so I'm certainly not bored.

This morning started with some more fairy painting and I've just connected by 'home sweet home' sign with some coloured string.. Now that's done it's time to spend some time on my samples for the secc.. Told you I had plenty to keep me busy on this cold day!
