Under construction..

I'm not slacking.. Honest.. I've got bits all ready for the birthday card and have stopped temporarily to do the housework and also need to go chase up on an invoice that has now been outstanding for around 6 months!!! Quick pop into Asda on the way back, then I'll finish the card and deliver it.

Ooopppsss

Oh no.. I forgot that the little boy who lives next to me turns 3 today.. Thankfully his mummy has put balloons outside to refresh my memory.. Lol.

Decided to go with my birdhouse to make a quick and easy card for him so rush, rush, rush.. Here I go.. Well can't keep the wee man waiting for his card all day can I.. Lol.

Off to construct it now.

Good morning

Well I slept like a log last night which I so appreciated after only having 3 hours sleep the night before. There is nothing worse than trying to get through the day on batteries that are almost empty, and I am one of those people, who if I have a mid day nap I usually don't sleep that night. Yesterday was one of those days. I did pretty well right enough up until about tea time then the pace really slowed down.
Finally managed to get to sleep around 1.30am this morning and have just awoke around 10am.. Rolled out of bed and mad myself a quick instant coffee.. Only to find I've got no more left so.. The good old perculator has been working it's magic and now I've got a lovely big pot of freshly brewed coffee... That should keep me going for an hour or two..

With that said.. It's time to go refill my cup and sort out what lies ahead for the day. Got my coaster set to finish and not quite sure what I'll move onto after that.. Time will tell..

Right I'm gone, the coffee pot is calling, so toodles for now and I'll be back for another visit soon.

My 'Dream' Revealed...

Afternoon folks and my apologies for the delay uploading the pics... but I got a little side tracked in several ways... obviously the coffee and coasters were the beginning of it... then my friend popped by.. my mum was on the phone... and Brianna has sent me a few emails with wedding details for me to put into her wedding folder... but I must admit.. I'm having a great day...

So here is my 'Dream' sign all tarted up with a little bit of this and a little bit of that... lol

Oh no...

I've been slightly side tracked again.. Was having a rummage whilst drinking my coffee and came across my coaster set that I bought before christmas.. Well seeing as I am drinking my coffee thought I'd just make a wee start on these too... Lol...

Hhhmmmm what yummy products am I going to use on these.. Guess you'll have to do the same as me... Wait and see.. Only time will tell..

Back home..

Woohoo.. Well that didn't take too long this morning at all compared to normal.. And I'm now back in the house, sat down with a cuppa whilst poor hubby has headed off to work.

Good news.. He seems to have retained all his movement since our last visit which is wonderful, so long may that continue.

Well.. Need to finish my coffee than get the camera out so I can share yesterday's creation with you... Will try not to be too long.. Lol..

Good morning..

Well it's the start of another day which will hopefully be filled with fun and laughter.. Well once I get home again that is.. Lol..

Hubby has an appointment at the hospital this morning so we're currently sat in the waiting room.. And you all know how that feels.. Wait, wait, wait then you end up with a 5 minute consultation and out the door you go... Last time we were here it took about a 2 hour wait to see the consultant... Let's hope it goes a little quicker today.. Appt is at 9.30am.

Well.. Guess I best go entertain my hubby now so I'll catch up with you all a little later.

Final purchases of the day

Evening all... okay.. here are the final purchases of my day out yesterday... these were all purchased from Damselfly Crafts in Great Western Road, Glasgow.

Above is a little plaster seahorse that I just could not resist buying... have a feeling he will look awesome once I've had my grubby mitts on him... lol...

Time for a makeover

Well... part of our little jaunt yesterday was spent going round some charity shops... I've not done this before so Ann was teaching me the tricks and it didn't take long for the creative juices to get flowing may i add...

Up above is my first charity buy... an old bathroom cabinet that I'm going to revamp and then use for storage in my craft room... it will probably be perfect for my Tim Holtz goodies then they will all be in the one place...

Below.. well now you know what my rings were for that Ann gave to me.. oh yeah.. time to dismantle some old jewellery and make them into something new... these are my goodies to play with to start me off.. Ann bought everything in the shop apart from 1 bracelet and I was laughing so much... I think one of the guys who worked in there thought we were shop lifting.. he checked what was in the bowl and then kept an eye on us till they were paid for at the counter...

My beautiful gift

Now I'm sure you all gathered that I had a fantastic day out yesterday with my wonderful friend Ann Russell... but to top it all off... she took my breathe away by giving me a bag of delicious goodies...

Above is a beautiful canvas which Ann made just for me... and I love it.. needless to say, it will be given pride of place in my craft room.

This is a fab 'Dream' sign she bought me so that I can play away with it to my hearts content.... hopefully it will look fab on the wall once it's finished...

This is my beautiful handmade card that Ann gave me... I love the image and colours... oh and did you notice that the image on my card matches my canvas she painted for me...

Finally... she was making sure that there was no delay in getting on with my playtime by giving me these fab rings to get me started... more will be revealed on what's behind these later... lol.

So, without further delay... I'm off to finish things up in the house so that I can get to work playing.

Woohoo it's Tuesday

Morning all.. Hope you've been fortunate enough to have woken up to some blue sky and sunshine like I have...

Well I've just about recovered from my girly day out yesterday.. Lol.. So I'm going to take some pictures of the goodies I came home with so I can share with you all.

Housework is almost finished, then it's onto play time.. Question now is what to start with.. Lol.

Back home now

Well.. I actually got home about an hour ago but had to sit and tell hubby all about my day and have a wee coffee too.. Lol

So, before I go tend to all my animals and make some dinner for myself, I just thought I would tell you all what a wonderful day we had.. There were a good few laughs and on one occasion.. We were in a shop buying stuff.. Everything in the bowl apart from 1 item.. I was in utter hysterics and attracted the attention of one of the shop workers who went and checked the bowl.. He must have thought we were shop lifting or something.. Lmao..

Then we ended our day sitting in the car for an hour chatting away.. Not like we hadn't been gabbing all day.. Must admit, I feel as though the winter cobwebs have been well and truly blown away today.. thanks to my wonderful friend Ann..

Right, off to get things done.. Feeling rather peckish now.. Hope you all have a wonderful night and I'll be back tomorrow to share some pics with you.

Odd colour combo's

Well as you know I've been collecting data for Brianna's wedding folder which obviously includes details of the colour combo for her big day..

Now you will all know that I couldn't possibly share her details with you yet but I can say.. It's very, very, unusual what she has chosen...

So.. What's the strangest colour combo you have ever worked with??? I would love to hear and I'm sure that others would love to hear about it too... Well we do like to share don't we.. Lol.

Right, off to colour a few images before bedtime.. Going for a big day out tomorrow with my lovely crafting buddy Ann Russell.. The snow has stopped us for over a month now so it's time for us to play catch up with all the places we have to visit.. So looking forward to a lovely day with her. My new felt bag

Well... talk about running late in the day... been so busy doing other stuff for my hubby that the day has disappeared rather quickly... just thought I'd pop this on for you to see before I go the shopping ... well I did make it about a week ago and that's me only getting round to taking pics of it.. lol...

This was made from the lovely cheap kit that I bought last week at the local garden centre... if memory serves me right it was only £3.50 as it was on sale at half price and included everything needed to complete the project.

All the holes are pre punched so it's simply a case of lining everything up and away you go... good thing is it's a plastic needle that comes with the kit so it's ideal for use by children... stitch away.. and a few hours down the line... you have one completed bag... complete with a stuffed owl... lol

I thought this was a wonderful idea they had to include some stuffing in order that not only does your bag have texture with it being made of felt, but your wee owl really does stick out for added dimension... oh yeah.. and let's not forget the buttons either...

If anyone is looking for a little something to do that's not taxing on the brain.. this is the perfect project..

Well.. I guess it's time to get myself sorted before popping to the supermarket.. apologies again for being late in the day today and I'll try to be better tomorrow...
