Under construction

A very late good evening to everyone... well it is almost tomorrow... and hope you've all had a super day.

I've been out and about most of the day with hubby and he's just retired to bed for the night for I can get stuck in to another wee bit of crafting... I try to spend most of my weekend time with him so normally only have mornings & very late evenings to play.

I'm quite enjoying playing with my wee townhouse as it's something a little different... Haven't decided exactly what it's going to be like upon completion as I'm just working away on it and seeing where I go ;-)

Well, I won't achieve much by sitting typing here will I... So I'll bid you all a fond farewell and catch up with you all again tomorrow.

Honestly

I know I promised to post before now but I've had nothing but unannounced visitors all day beginning at 10am this morning and it's also been one of those days where the phone has had a constant ring...

Anyway, just so you know I did start on some stuff last night and will continue with it again just shortly (need to tend to all the animals first), so will give you a progress report tomorrow on how my bits 'n' pieces are coming along.

Running late today

Afternoon my lovelies and sincere apologies for not having any new projects to post just yet... it's been one of those days with the door going and phones (yes mobile & house) ringing constantly.

Hopefully things will calm down a bit now and I'm popping out to pick some stuff up then back home to actually get down to some proper crafty works...

Will do my best to upload something tonight... failing that... normal business should resume tomorrow.

Penny Black challenge

Now are Kath & the rest of the crew over at Penny Black not really making us get ourselves into action and all prepped up with their christmas inspiration... you can always tell the organised people in life, can't you...

Well it's not before time that I got myself back into challenge mode and this was a perfect starter... thank you girls.

I have got myself a few Pro markers to try and this is one of my first attempts using them.. yes they are easy to apply but not sure if I need the whole range in order to get good shading on my image.. I feel that this one is a little flat in appearance but when I tried to add shading I seemed to end up with heavy lined marks... any advice would be greatfully appreciated. Perhaps I'm just too used to having complete control over the depth of my shading.

Anyway, done some layering, added some ribbon & embellishments... simple as that.

My snowflakes were originally clear so I wanted to colour them but not so that they were a bold white... felt that would be took much for the card so had to attack them a bit.

First up I used a white pen touch which I quickly scribbled on (a small amount at a time) and then rubbed over it with a cotton bud to smear the ink around.

Next up I used my quickie glue pen to dot around all over the snowflakes and then covered in the new ultra ultra fine glitter.

Hmmm.... wonder what's next on the agenda for today... need to be quick in deciding though as I don't have that much time as I have a meeting to attend at 5.30pm...

WOYWW

Another week and another Wednesday has come around already... so can't believe how fast this year is going... and how little I've posted over the last few weeks so it's defo time for me to get back into action again... starting today.

Hmmm what should I play with today... that's always the hard question when you're surrounded by everything so I pulled these out to give me some inspiration.

In addition to that I've got a few cards that I need to get done too so goodness knows what my next post will be... like me.. you'll just have to wait and see I guess... lol

My sincere apologies also as I just realised that I failed to create a link last week to WOYWW... silly old brain wasn't working properly after being on holiday.

Good day

A very good morning to all you lovelies out there in blogland... Hope you're having a fab weekend.

Well, we took a drive up to Tillicoutry yesterday in the search for a new sofa... Yippee... Mission accomplished. Only took about 4 hours of sitting up & standing down but finally we got there. Just need to be patient & wait for delivery in around 8 weeks now.

Today, we are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and not sure yet what we'll get up to for the rest of the day but won't be surprised if it's nothing special as I know we do need to do the supermarket run, so may very well turn out like just another day... Lol

My favourite pencil...

Not sure how many of you will have tried this, but, for me it's the best.

You can use for normal artistic work or you can load it with white lead for parchment craft. You load all your lead into the centre and when 1 lead runs out, another will automatically load for you. In addition to this, there is a large concealed eraser at the end so you only have out what you need... The remainder stays tucked away inside. It also has an ergonomic grip so you never need to worry about your hand cramping up.

WOYWW

This is a very rare occasion when my work space is very clean... Normally is piled high with everything but the kitchen sink.

Why is it so clean... Whilst on holiday my mum decided to come in and clear away all the bits & bobs I had lying around... Aaarrrrrggggghhhhh.

Needless to say I'm having to sort it all out now... Should be back to normal for tomorrow.

Hells bells... I've not that long since joined up to FB and am still in the process of finding my way around it... would you believe it though... today whilst having a wee browse I happened to come across a few well known faces from blogland... what else could I do but send out all my friend requests...

Looks like I've been missing out on more action than I at first thought by not being a FB member.... let's hope that I'm up to date now eh...

Well... really is time for me to get on the go again after my wee break.. downstairs housework all caught up now... washing well on the go today as we've got some sunshine... yippee... and now it's time for a quick run around the upstairs before I get to my good old craft room for some personal play time.

A.W.O.L

Evening folks and sorry about being AWOL from blogland today but it's a local bank holiday here and therefore the last official day of our holiday.

Took things easy, chilled, popped out for a bite to eat and a walk in the park... Doing our best to avoid the rain showers as much as possible.

Still working my way through the holiday washing due to the lack of sunshine I'm being forced to dry everything on the clothes horse!!! Sure does suck.

Hopefully I'll get back to a somewhat normal routine tomorrow again.

Master of Pharmaceutical Science

One of the proudest times in my life.

My stunning niece Hannah has now graduated from Hull University with her Master of Pharmaceutical Science degree.

She has already secured herself her dream job which comes complete with a company car.

Not bad eh considering she's only 22 years old.

Is it any wonder I'm so proud of her.

Back home

Arrived back home safe & sound last night & Rob's now back to normal Saturday morning routine... Watching TV... Currently watching last weeks F1 race.

It's been a leisurely start to the day so time to get my butt in gear... Piles of washing to do and MUST get to a Vodafone shop as my phone is knackered!!! The navigation ball in the centre won't move therefore I can't access most parts of my phone... Nae good that so hope it can be resolved today... Fingers crossed.

Will try to catch up with you all later again.
