Bits and pieces

After the day we had yesterday full of rain and thunder what a pleasant surprise I had this morning when I opened the curtains to see the sun.. Hope it stays with us all day.

We had the kids over for a wee visit last night and Brianna is excited about life as it's all starting to fall in to place now. Her final dissertation is due in on Friday and she starts her PhD in a matter of weeks. Her fund raising concert is this coming Saturday too. And... She's also heard the most wonderful news this week too as one of the research tutors at the Uni is taking 3yrs away to work on a particular area he has received funding for and Brianna has been asked to tutor his classes for the next 3yrs as part of her PhD.. How cool is that!

Well my wee mum is coming up for a visit and bite of lunch today, I'm working on some more samples and will get another bit organised for the holidays.. Ooooo less than a week to go now till I'm soaking up the sun and still got my demo case to pack for the weekend too.. Think I'll make a to-do list for Rob to work on tomorrow. Lol.

Flying high

Afternoon folks.. Shame on me for it being 5pm before I've got around to posting today.

Ton of washing done today, house cleaned and I've been getting inky too. It's been a funny old day here weather wise. It's been raining on and off all day and we seemed to have a thunder storm that lingered for over an hour. Thankfully I've been indoors all day so was quite happy to sit and listen to it. Lol. Hubby has also said he'll pop in to asda for me on the way home to pick up some bits and bobs we need.. Well I can't tempt getting wet and catching cold can I as I'm demoing at the weekend then we're off on our holidays.. Woohoo.. Getting so excited now.
Anyway, time I signed off again and got back to work as kids are coming for a visit tonight so progress will be slowed down a little. Back again later though.

Going UP!

Alright folks here's the last sneaky peek of the day so you can see what I'm playing with just now.

It's been a busy day here with lots of phone calls organising dates for upcoming events, worked on some more samples and done a pile of ironing ready to be packed in the case. Wouldn't surprise me if I find a pile of glitter in it somewhere as I think everything got covered in it today. Lol.

Well hubby has finally retired to bed for the night and not a minute too soon I may add as he's been driving me a little nuts tonight. As for me.. I'm off to boil the kettle, see what's decent on tv and finish off this sample before sitting back to chill for an hour or so before bed.

Afternoon all on yet another busy day. If I worked in any other industry I probably curse being busy but in my line of work there's nothing I love more.

Apologies there was no morning post but the day started with another trip to the hospital.. This time it was just a follow up appt for Rob, back home for breakfast, wee tidy up around the house, a couple of work related phone calls then it was already time for lunch! Had that and then set about some glittering.. Needless to say not only am I covered in it but the room is too. Lol.

Anyway, I'm off now to do some cutting and stamping so catch you all later. Ooohhhh and there's some sun today too!

Evening play

Hope it's been a good day for everyone. It's been a really good one for me. Started off at the breast clinic this morning and thankfully got the all clear so breathed a huge sigh of relief. Followed by a nice big fry up to regain my energy. Next up we headed off on another wee shopping trip and with 90 mins had managed to pick up the last of the stuff we needed for our holidays.. Just need to find time to pack now. Lol. Back home for lunch and the intention was to pop to Asda for some food supplies but I ended up falling asleep on the sofa for 3 hrs. In my defence I haven't been sleeping very well for the last few nights worrying about today's appointment so hubby ended up going himself. Woke up and packed some order then got them off in the post, done some household chores then dealt with dinner. May I just say I feel like a right dustbin tonight as dinner was lasagne with salad, followed by a 4 finger dark chocolate kitkat but no.. That wasn't enough.. I then felt the need to eat 2 bags of crisps aswell!!! Don't think I'll be eating any more before tomorrow. Lol.

Anyway.. Time to catch up on some work now so have some goodies tipped out in front of me ready to start and thought I'd share a wee pic before I start. This is a lovely funky range which would bring a smile to anyone's face no matter what the age is. So with that said I'm off to get busy and will catch up with you all again tomorrow. Morning all and sorry this is short and sweet but leaving for hospital in 30 mins and hubby just got out the shower so it's a mad dash for me now.

Some spree!!!

Well we set off this afternoon on a shopping and would you believe that this is all I managed to get for myself in 4hrs.. New pair of jeans, new belt, 2 tops and 2 vest tops!!! Not exactly the spree it was supposed to be eh. Lol. Still have to find myself a nice pair of peep toe wedges but all the ones I saw today were high and I only want about 2" so think I may need to troll the internet and see if I can have any more luck that way.

Now that's done hubby's disappeared off to the gym and I'm going to get working on samples again. I'll find that much more stimulating than the shopping trip. Lol.

Glitz & Glam

Morning all and thought I'd get you off to a sparkly start today with some glitter and gilding flakes.

What's on today's agenda? Well it's starting off with some crafting, moving to housework, then out shopping for clothes, back to deal with my wee bunny who's almost back to full health again but still needs some TLC then back to the crafting again after that.

Need to try and have an early night as I've to be at the hospital for 9am tomorrow. One of those appointments where I'm glad it's finally arrived and hope to get some answers but at the same time I'm a tad worried about what I may be told so keeping fingers crossed.

Right.. Best get myself moving as apparently I'm getting an extra top if I make it out the house before 1pm. Lol.

Ladies only

Evening all. Hope everyone's had a productive day.

I've been scrapping today so thought I'd give you a wee sneaky peek at some of the papers. Not much I know but as they say.. 'Patience is a virtue'.. Lol. And you only have one more week to wait till I can start revealing my makes.

The day started off pretty nice here today then mid afternoon I was suddenly thrust in to darkness as the heavy rain clouds began to fill the sky. Made a quick dash out to the garden to grab my washing from the line and just managed to make it back indoors before the rain started. Needless to say the house ended up resembling a laundrette.

Well it's time for me to tend the animals before chilling out for the rest of the night.. Need to build the energy up as going shopping tomorrow for holiday clothes and I find that very draining.

Classy

Goodness me.. Can you believe it's almost 1pm already! Sometimes you just have to wonder where exactly the day goes. Anyway, I've done a quick clean up of the house this morning, washing machine going like mad and dishes done. Oohhh and wee kitty is chilling out in the middle of the living room floor. Lol

As hubby's at work just now it's giving me a wee chance to work without being distracted so I've had a rummage in my good old box and this is what I've decided to start with.. A little bit of something classy and chic. So without further delay I'm off to get creative. Watch this space for more sneaky peeks in a few hours again.

Oh and Nikkib if you happen to read this we're flying with Air New Zealand. Will give feedback on here so you'll know whether it's worth checking out next time you fly. No idea what's happening with blogger just now but when I log in I can't see the dashboard to moderate any comments but thankfully I got the email so managed to read it.

To be frank!

Evening all and boy it's been one of those days that's ended up whizzing by between one thing and another but thankfully got a pile of errands and the weekly shop done too so that's good. Rob's making himself some dinner just now then may pop to Next to see if I can get some bits and bobs to go in the suitcase.

Needless to say I couldn't not give you just one more sneaky peek before the day is over, so here it is.. And yes.. I'm addicted to these now too. Lol.

PhD fundraiser

Eventful

Morning all.. It's been pretty eventful since my last post.. I've had 4 hours sleep, played on my phone so much during the night that my battery was dead this morning, and the cat was sick on the bed so had to strip it and get it in the machine right away. Lol

Thankfully I've got my box of gorgeous goodies to brighten my day so here's this mornings sneaky peek of what I'm playing with.. Eh sorry working with today. With that said I'm off back to my colourful desk and hope that hubby's going to bring me a wee fresh cup of coffee soon.

Funky seats

Well folks it's the wee small hours of the morning (1.30am) and I'm sitting here watching tv whilst thinking about my upcoming holiday so thought I'd share this picture of the funky seats that we're going to be travelling in.. Well they actually refer to them as pods. Lol. They are hard back shells so if someone leans on it then you're seat doesn't buckle behind you like they normally do. They're angled to provide greater leg space. The black section in the centre contains a storage compartment for glasses etc, can also be used as a leg rest if we want to extend our legs over each other and when our food is served we simply raise it up, pop our legs underneath and can sit facing each other for a wee meal together. Now is that not just down right funky???

Well now I've shared that wee pic I'm off to watch Eastenders, enjoy my cuppa then think I'll go to bed for some zzzzzzz's... Early night for me I guess as it's been between 3-3.30am every other night this week. Too excited I guess. Lol. So nighty night folks and catch you all again during daylight hours.

Break time

Afternoon all and can you believe it's lunch time already! I'm going to take a wee break from work and tackle some housework before having a quick bite to eat then back to work again.

I'm having so much fun at the moment and have to admit I'm feeling slightly naughty about teasing you on a daily basis but there's honestly just over a week more to go of the sneaky peeks then I'll reveal everything.

Hard to believe that schools have been back for a whole week already and it's so visible around here during the day. Being a small estate it's buzzing all day long when the kids are off but now it's just a quiet little haven most of the day and I have to admit it's perfect when I'm working at home. Even the cat hangs around the living room a bit more. Lol.

Anyway, lots to do this afternoon so will bid you a fond farewell for the moment being and will post a little something else in a few hours again.

Flutter time

Evening all.. Been another busy day here again so much so I forgot to blog. Lol. Started at 10am and just about to start on my final project of the evening so will hopefully be done for midnight. Am so loving the products I'm playing with just now and am bubbling to share them with you.. Will also share a list of stockists too so you all know where you can purchase of the scrummy goodies.

Tonight I decided to share just a small portion of this design which I adore for it's soft blended effect. Hhmmm maybe coupled with some 'bling' and I'll leave your mind to boggle on what else will be with it. Lol.

Bites and stings

Evening all and I actually can't believe it's this time of night already.. The day has gone so fast. Was painting from 10am till about 3pm. Then I sorted and packed orders ready for posting, done some housework oh and done a few loads of washing in between. Managed to get to Asda for 5pm and had to hunt for some cream as I was sporting 4 lovely bites on my right leg today.. That hot itchy feeling just wasn't cutting it for me today and Savlon wasn't doing a very good job calming them down. Thankfully I found this cream whilst at the market so soon as I came home the trousers were off and it was on.. Wow.. Was amazed at just how quickly it took the heat out of them and they've only now started to warm up again which is fine as you can apply it up to 3 times a day so another wee application can be done before bed. If you're a bit like me and seem to be classed as tasty food for the biting insects I would definitely recommend giving this cream a go.

Well I'm off to make myself a wee hot chocolate with marshmallows and relax watching some tv before bed. Haven't been in bed before 3am the last few nights so I'm going to try and do better tonight. Lol. Hope you've all had a fab day and I'll catch up with you tomorrow again (hopefully earlier in the day. Lol)

Naughty or nice?

Evening all and I must say the day has simply flown by. Watched a wee movie this morning whilst doing some craft work which led in to the afternoon as I got carried away. Lol. All of the bunny cages have now been intensely disinfected which I like to do every few months.. They do get disinfected every week but the intense one means boiling water etc so it's a whole different ball game. My wee poorly bunny has had a few hours therapy this afternoon and will hopefully be back to full health this week. Had a late dinner and Rob is currently on the phone to his mum.. Poor soul is in for a shock as we're just about to tell her that she'll be seeing us in a few wks time and she has no idea. Lol

As you know I'm working away on some projects that I can't completely share with you just now but I'm doing my best to share some sneaky peeks with you every day and this is today's. I can tell you though that I'm loving what I'm playing with so hope you will too when I share pics of the finished projects in the near future.

Well I guess I best sign off and make a cuppa so I'm ready to speak to my MIL. Will be back again soon so keep up the happy crafting in the meantime. Toodles for now.

Sneaky!!!

Evening all and what a glorious day it has been here and the sun is still beating down on us.. Amazing how the day instantly gets off to a good start when there's a bit of blue in the sky.

This morning started off with the usual caffeine overload, just to make sure I got up to speed of course. Lol. Out came the paint for a project and in between during drying sessions I was doing the housework. Nothing like a bit of multi tasking to achieve more in the day. Once that was done it was time to do some more chores before moving out the back to the bunnies. Cage sterilising, cleaning bottles, bowls etc, etc, etc. Was wonderful though as it was a good excuse to soak up some sun rays. Came indoors and had a good clean and change of clothes so I smelt nice again. Lol. Friend popped in along with her 2 kids and 1 of their friends then other friends appeared as I was dropping them off at a charity do and I've stolen their wee one for the night to keep us entertained. Never a dull moment when Nicole's around. Lol.

We're home again so going to pop some dinner on as I'm a little bit peck now and we're having movie night with popcorn later. In the meantime I thought I'd share another wee sneaky peek of something that I can't quite share with you just yet.. Only 2 wks to wait though and all will be revealed. Doris!

Evening all and sorry it's so late in the day before I've managed to post but it's been a wee bit non stop. Hubby was off to it was a chance to get some chores done. Started by putting car in to garage for a service, back home and friends popped in for a wee cuppa and chat, had lunch, helped Rob clear out the garage and garden shed, done housework, mum popped in for a 10 minute visit, collected car from garage, went to dump with the crap that had come from the garage and shed, had a wee Costa coffee and bite to eat, done the weekly shop, home to put everything away and in between dealt with emails. Can't believe it's almost 9pm already! Still got animals to feed and water including this wee sweetie who's called Doris.. She's got a funny wee nature and for some reason reminded me of Doris Day hence her name. Lol. She's been a little poorly the last few days so she's getting some extra special love just now to help her recover.

Tomorrow will be a more productive day craft wise so will be able to share some pics and hopefully my wee pal is coming for movie night and popcorn too.

Well I guess I best sign off now, tend to animals and then I'm going to get some base paint on a project I'm working on so it will be ready to decorate tomorrow. Hope you've all had a funky Friday and let's hope for a sparkly Saturday. Catch you all then.

Play time..

Morning all and it's a lovely day here again so hoping it lasts. Can cope with rain in the evenings then.

Thought I'd share a sneak peek of what I'm working on today.. Can't tell you all the details just yet so you'll have to be patient I'm afraid. Lol. Last night I done some cutting and sanding now I'm just getting ready to do some gluing, followed by a wee bit of housework, quick jump out to the shops then back here to start some painting of my sneaky peek.
This morning got off to a lovely start seeing all the kids heading off to school in their smart new school uniforms. Wee 4yr old heading off to primary 1, wee 5 and 8yr old (poor wee soul just turned 8 today) and the big 12yr old heading off for her 1st day at high school. They all looked lovely but I'm desperate to see just how smart they look by the time school comes out this afternoon. Lol.

Well it's time to sign off again as I've got a twisted muscle in my back so taking me slightly longer to get things done. What a pain as I'm not used to having to be careful how I move so need it better asap. Off to do my gluing now so toodles and hope you all have a fab day.

Basic babies..

Morning all hope you're off to a nice bright start today. We had lovely blue skies when I awoke this morning but it's clouding over as the day goes on so I'm hoping the rain stays away for a while as I've got the washing blowing on the line.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post anything new yesterday but there was so much going on and I am trying to get stuff organised for the holidays now too. This morning I thought I'd share some quick make baby cards.. All they await now is the baby's delivery details. Quick and easy and sell well as I only charge £1.25 for them so not bad for a handmade, personalised card.

Anyway, this morning started with the delivery of a big brown box filled with lots of yummy goodies for me to make samples with for the Perth trade show in a few weeks time. Loving the mixture of stash it contained and can't wait to get started. Most of the housework is done, fingers crossed for getting the washing dry, need to pop to supermarket for a few bits and bobs then it's home for some play time.

Kids sorted..

Evening all and what a buzzing day it's been here full of delights and smiles.. Don't you just love those kind of days.

Anyway, before I forget I thought I'd post a pic of one of the 1st day school cards I've been making.. Got them finished off last night but am waiting till Wednesday before I deliver them.

So what's on tonight's agenda.. a very special wee card for my friend to give to one of her other friends. It's one of those situations where it should have been a new baby card but the wee soul was so poorly he's been in hospital since he was born almost 2 months ago and has only just gotten home today so it's going to be a welcome home card instead.

Time to go work on a design I guess so will be back tomorrow again with another post.. I'm determined I'm going to get back to my daily blogging. Lol.

Almost school time

Evening all and hope everyone's had a fab day. We started off with a nice wee rom com movie which we normally do on a Sunday. Next up we had a chap drop by to collect some gym equipment so helped load that in to his car then chilled again with some lunch. Watched a wee bit of the olympics while playing with some of these pieces and done some housework. Mid afternoon we popped out for a wee coffee along with some soup to tide us by then hubby dropped me at home whilst he went to the gym. We've just put the patio table and chairs away as there's rain forecast for the next few days, going to have dinner shortly and work on finishing off a few wee 'First Day' cards for 4 year olds starting primary.

Well folks that's been my day and hopefully yours has been as chilled and relaxed as mine.. Normality will return tomorrow as Monday morning dawns on us all. Lol.

For a fairy..

OMG.. I cannot believe how long it's been since I last blogged. It's been one of those periods where I've been bogged down with wedding orders and such as well as normally every day events.

Anyway, I'm having to work on a few personal cards just now so am getting a chance to share with you again. This first one is for my friends little girl who will be turning 8 on Thursday.. She's not impressed right enough as it's also her 1st day back at school after the summer holidays. Then again it is her party today so there's a crowd of them going to the cinema then afterwards they're back to the house for a garden party. How sweet is that for an 8 year old.

I decided upon this image as it just reminded me so much of her (minus the wings of course) but she's such a dainty wee thing, the clothing is very similar to what she would wear and she arrived at my door last week with a bunch of flowers for me that she'd picked from her mums garden. Needless to say I had to add some wee butterflies too as a garden isn't complete without them.

So what's on the agenda today? Well, I'm clearing up around the house just now and aim to be in the garden within the next hour for some crafting in the sun. I've got a few more birthday cards to make and some 'starting school' cards too for a few of the neighbours kids who will be heading off to primary 1 on Thursday.

The next few weeks are going to be busy ones too. I've got an appt at the breast clinic on the 27th and can't wait as I hope they can find the problem and do something to help with the pain. Hubby has hospital again on the 28th. Looking forward to the Perth trade show on 2nd and 3rd of Sept where I'll be demonstrating for Jones Crafts of Nottingham. Sept 4th I'm heading off on holiday for a few weeks then 22nd and 23rd Sept I'm demonstrating at Craft World in Hillington. Finally on 27th Sept hubby is at hospital again. Hhmmm looks like most of Sept is organised eh! Lol.

Guess it's time to wrap up this posting, get the housework finished and transport the craft room to the back garden. Hope you're all having a super Saturday and are getting the opportunity to enjoy some sun.

Almost done

Evening all on what has been another dry day here and what a pleasant change it's been having a few dry days where I've been able to get the washing out to dry instead of the miserable downpours of the last month. The kids have been out playing around the estate so it's especially nice it being dry this weekend as it's a the local Glasgow Fair Weekend so lots of people having a wee extra day off work tomorrow.

Anyway.. the last few days have been topsy turvy as I'm still trying to adapt to Rob being off on Fridays and working Saturdays as my schedule is interrupted having him at home when I'm not used to it but we'll get there. I was pretty busy on Friday so he entertained himself quite a bit of the day (didn't even get the shopping done) then yesterday just flew by and we had to do the weekly shop at tea time as the cupboards were a bit bare. Today started off relaxed with a lie in then Rob cleaned both cars whilst I cleaned the house. We popped out for a coffee and ended up having it with our neighbours who we bumped in to at the coffee house so was nice to sit and have a wee chat and tonight I've grouted the table that Rob's currently refurbishing. Amazing what a strip of the wood and replacement of the tiles can do to the appearance to an old tired looking table. Now come tomorrow I should get some quiet time again whilst he puts a coat or two of beeswax on it then it will be done and ready for use.

Got some more things I really should tackle tomorrow too like dying my hair seeing as the greys are starting to poke through and that beloved job of searching online for car insurance quotes seeing as my renewal notice has just came in and got a few orders that need packing ready for posting first thing Tuesday. Which when I mentioned the post.. I was shocked the last few days too.. On Thursday I posted 4 2nd class parcels.. 2 of which arrived on Friday and the other 2 were delivered yesterday.. I'm not entirely convinced any of them would have arrived quicker had I sent them 1st class so good on Royal Mail.. They have shocked me with their service and hope that it continues.

Well.. Seeing as it's now 11.30pm and I'm snuggled on the sofa in my pj's, I'm off to watch some tv for a wee hour (maybe two. Lol) then I'll be heading to bed so will bid a 'goodnight' to all and will post a pic of the finished table tomorrow. Will even take the pic in daylight so you can see it properly. Toodles for now.

Shortbread day

Afternoon all and sorry it's been a while but between births, deaths and marriages I've been kept pretty busy the last wee while. With normal life and work on top of that it's been rather busy around the old Robertson household.

Anyway, today I needed to take some time out as my eyelids are so heavy they feel like they've got lead weights attached so I decided to do some baking and what was on the agenda.. Shortbread. Well my mum's been waiting on a batch for a week now and my friends dad was buried yesterday and he asked for some too so thought I'd make some up today as I'm going to visit tomorrow and can take it with me. The large box is for him and his family, mum can have one of the other tubs and I'll hide one for myself too I think. Lol

Being the very good girl that I am the kitchen is all clean ready for dinner when hubby comes home then tonight I need to finish off another wedding stationery order so it can be posted tomorrow and I'm still working on samples for the fabby new Cupcakecrafting cd that will be launching soon. Hopefully I'll get a relatively early night too.. That means before 1am.. Lol as last night I slept for 9hrs solid which is so not me.. I'm normally a 6-7hr girl so batteries are defo in need of a recharge.

Right.. Time to sign off and get back to work otherwise I'll end up with a spill over to tomorrow and I can't have that seeing as I'm going to be slacking off for a few hours visiting. Will try to be a better blogger over the next few days and stop just putting updates on facebook which I seem to have been doing lately! Naughty me. Oops. Sorry.

Afternoon all, hope everyone is doing well and for those in the UK I hope you're all managing to avoid the floods as from what I've seen on tv recently they've been horrendous and terrible to think of the destruction that it's causing too..  Thankfully, although we've had lots of heavy rain we've managed to avoid any flooding in my area.

Anyway, it's been a whirlwind of a week that's gone by in the blink of an eye... my washing machine broke so I had to use a neighbours till the repair man arrived to fix mine..  my wee mummy finally retired on Thursday, well she's only 70 so still plenty life left in the old dog yet.. my back's been playing up on and off so every few days the bottom half is seizing.. hubby has kindly been manipulating it so hoping to be back to normal soon and my friends have now disappeared off to the sun for their holidays so it's going to be very quiet around here for the next few weeks.  Oh and I done some baking the other day too... Herman cakes and shortbread.. sadly I finished the shortbread this morning so will need to make more either today or tomorrow.

Now, as many of you will know my gorgeous step daughter graduated her BSc last year with 1st class Honours and is due to complete her Masters degree in September... well.... she has been accepted to start her PhD at Glasgow Uni in October too so we're very proud of her indeed.  She's such a determined, hard working young lady it's quite unbelievable at times.. She studies, she sings with the Uni choir, assists as a wedding co-ordinator at the Uni chapel, Sings with Glasgow Madrigirls, works as a co-ordinator with Capability Scotland, appears at concerts both in the UK and Europe, performs at weddings and runs a home on top of that too!  Now for a 23 year old I think that's rather impressive, don't you.  

To help raise her profile on the internet she has just started a new blog and she would love if you could become a follower of her and asks your friends to follow her too please.. the more the merrier as they always say.  So here's the link to her new page.

I've been MIA today

Evening all and sorry I've been missing all day but you know how you just have these wee days where nothing goes to plan.. That's been mine today but the nice part was that I got to spend time chatting to friends which made up for the lack of work. Lol. Thankfully hubby is working tomorrow which means I'll have some time to myself to get down and messy in the craft room so I will have something to share with you all.

Well I'm off to chill before bed so nighty night all.. Till tomorrow.

Full frontal

Evening all and how relieved am I to have had some time in the good old work room today getting back in the flow again.

Had a rummage to see what tickled my fancy and I happened to come upon this letter rack that I had actually based coated in black many months ago so with a feeling of guilt I decided to complete the project and here it is.

I'm not a person who like to follow conformity which you can possibly tell from the pic. After following straight lines etc for so long with work I just had to make something that in a respect was a little thrown together.

To begin I sprayed the entire project with 'Kiwi' perfect pearls mist, cut out some images from a Papermania bookprint paper pack which I coloured with shabby shutters and vintage photo distress inks and adhered using some multi medium. The whole rack was then covered in multi medium and some mica fragments were sprinkled on top before being finished off with another coat of multi medium to seal.

Well I suppose I should poddle downstairs and see what hubby's day at the office was like and I need to deliver a wee birthday present too. May be forced to base coat something else tonight though ready for tomorrow. Lol.

Inky fingers

Yay.. I'm in the craft room working away on a wee project trying to get back in creative mode again. This time around I'm working with a wooden letter rack, distress inks and some papermania papers. Boy does it feel good to be having a wee play all for myself.

Birthday make

Evening all and I'm glad to say I've managed to get in the craft room for a brief period of time. Hubby returned to work so I've spent the day getting the house and paperwork back in order.

This is a wee card and posy box I made for someone's birthday tomorrow so that was priority over my other projects today.

It's been somewhat of a quiet day again as I've spent it indoors and mum only popped in for 5 mins on her way home from work. She does amaze me the way she zips about at 70yrs old. Thankfully she's decided that she's finally going to retire when the school break for the summer holidays as I was beginning to think she would be there till she dropped. Even the neighbours laugh at her as she's said for the last 5yrs she's retiring then next thing you know she's off to work again.

Well I've been hiding in the craft room since hubby came home so guess I really should go and be at least semi sociable eh! Oh and still got my washing to bring in off the line too. So loving the last few dry days as you can't beat fresh clothes that have been air dried. Cat is starting to demand my attention too so guess that means I've to sit and pet him for 10 mins till he's ready for another wee nap! I've truly got the laziest cat around as he sleeps for at least 18 hrs a day if not more.

Right, signing off now and will hopefully be back in the craft room tomorrow so toodles till then.

Quiet wee day

Well it's another late one today folks as you can tell. Hubby's had another day at home trying to get over his bug but is determined that he's going in to the office tomorrow so we'll see what unfolds. Have to say that he didn't start the day too well but does appear to have picked up as the day has gone on so fingers crossed.

I managed to escape to the back garden for a few hours late afternoon in to early evening and enjoyed some of the lovely sun we've had today again. Here's hoping it's here to stay for a while as it's nice getting outdoors in the fresh air.

Then I decided to have a 'chippy' for dinner and no sooner was I back when my friends 2 kids appeared out front and as I was speaking with them out the window my friend appeared.. Well she sent the children home to their dad and came in for a wee natter and then my other friend appeared too so the 3 of us were sat of the sofa having a good old natter. After they left Rob laughed and said we were all chatting away that much that the walls were shaking. Lol. It's not very often that we get time to just sit and chat so I really enjoyed it.

Hubby's just took himself off to bed so I'm going to put my pj's on, make a wee cuppa and snuggle on the sofa to watch some tv seeing as I've got it all to myself now. Hopefully I'll get in to the craft room for a few hours tomorrow if he's back at work and see what I can have a play with.

Good and bad day

Evening all and as you can probably guess from the picture it's been a beautiful day here today. Plenty blue sky and some fluffy white clouds too.

Anyway, the weather has been the best part of my day I think. Hubby has been off work ill all day, slight temp, aching bones and nausea. Got him doped up on paracetamol and he's currently in bed sleeping just now. On top of that I've had a to-do with my phone and pc. Connected my phone to the pc to upgrade via blackberry desktop manager but I needed to upgrade the desktop which I attempted to do, only to receive a message telling me I needed to upgrade my pc to xp sp3. Took myself over to the microsoft website to install that and guess what happened.. Bloody computer crashed!!!! So basically I am now left with no pc and I've been unable to upgrade my phone so currently have no facebook or internet access on it. Hopefully I can get the pc repaired without them having to completely wipe the system clean as I've got so much work stuff stored on it that chaos would not be the word for it if I lose it all. Then if that all works out I can hopefully get my phone upgrade done too. Keep fingers crossed for me please as this is obviously going to be a rather trying few days coming up.

Finally, I popped to the cemetery with flowers for my Dad and brother and whilst there I noticed that the headstone of a girl I went to school with was damaged. Appears as though it's come loose from it's foundation so I cleaned the dirt and dry grass off to make it look presentable then popped in to tell her mum, who's one of my neighbours. Glad I did the right thing though as her mum didn't know so at least they were warned in advance of seeing it. They're off down the cemetery tonight to have a look at it so they can arrange the repair tomorrow.

Thank goodness the sun was shining today as it always helps us feel more positive and I've also managed to clear the washing basket and get it all dried out in the fresh air. Only thing left to do tonight is tend to my animals but before I do so I'm off to organise some dinner for myself.

Finally!

Evening all and sorry it's a late post tonight but wanted to wait till I could upload pics of my clear working space. Can hardly believe I have a nice clean area to work on again as it's been so long. Lol.

Although hidden from sight I will be truthful and tell you that there is still one box to be sorted out tomorrow then my job will be 100% complete but for tonight I'm happy to settle with 97%.

Now that's done I'm off to tend to my animals then chill for the rest of the night so I can get stuck in tomorrow. Got some invoicing and emails to tackle in the morning, a few errands to run then I'll see how long I can keep my desk tidy for. Hopefully the cleanliness will help on the old creativity front too.

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. I'm off now to do chores, make a cuppa and sit down.

What a mess

Afternoon all on what is a bit of a wet day here with no sunshine in sight.. So much for it being summer eh. Lol.

Well it's a bit of a strange day for me.. As many of you will know I had a brother who was 9 years older than me and who passed away 9 years ago today, but this morning I woke to the news that my god daughter has given birth to a beautiful new baby boy this morning.. Brought a lovely warm feeling to my heart.

Hubby is at work today and I've poddled around doing the housework but there's still one room that needs to be tackled and that's the all important craft room. As you can see from the picture it's a right old mess just now. Things were going at a fast pace in there but I had some time free from orders over the last week when I've tried to catch up with house related chores that had piled up. There's still a few things left on the list to be dealt with but work now demands that the craft room be brought back under control and seeing as I have the house to myself and it's raining outside what better time to start.. It may take me some time though and I may need you to say a wee prayer or two for me along the way. Lol.

Right I guess it's time to stop typing and start clearing so will wish you all a happy weekend and be on my merry way to the craft room.. Toodles for now my lovelies.

What a month it's been

Well I've finally found my way back to the old blog front after what has been one heck of a month here.

Won't bore you with all the details, just a brief outline.. Rob's been going through a switch over of his meds, I've had a viral infection and had to toddle off to the docs last week to get checked out as I've had a pain on and off in my left breast for about 6wks.. Thankfully the doc can't feel any lumps but due my mum's history and the fact I had and oopherectomy a few years back I'm being referred to the breast clinic to be on the safe side. Mum's husband Eric has also been bed ridden for the last month and they've been getting so much done at the house.. Stair lift has been installed, bed raiser, zimmer frames, wheel chairs, raiser chairs, commodes.. It's been all go and there's been so many health visitors etc too. Finally my back garden was so out of control with weeds and what not that I had to bring in a gardiner to get it back under control so that's finally done and another ton of stones has been laid down too so at least if the sun shines I can work outdoors without looking at Steptoe's back yard. Lol. Then I've had to work in all my orders too and think the smallest one I've had has been for 45 invites.. Everything else has been in the hundreds. Typical eh!

Anyway, things seem to be a bit more in order now and the chaos is subsiding so I'm slowly getting back to normal and hopefully that means I can resume my blogging too. Hope everyone's been having fun and behaving in my absence.. Then again.. You've probably all been naughty.

Right I've got a few more chores to get done today so best say bye for now and catch up with you again soon.
