I'm having a wee play this morning with some paper flowers and hoping that by the end of it all I'll have a beautiful paper rose.. Keep fingers crossed for me as I've never attempted this one before.

If it turns out well you'll see the end result.. And if it turns out a disaster.. Well I may just share that with you too so we can all have a good laugh... Lol.

For someone special.

Sorry I've been missing today but it's just been one of those days that didn't quite go to plan and then when I had some spare time I was chitty chatting on facebook.. Sorry..

Anyway.. I've got this all ready just to be mounted onto a card base.. One of my old buddies from school asked me if I could make a special card for her aunt who is sadly dying.. Now that's one I've never done before so had to put a bit of thought behind what kind of card to make and here it is.. This is one of my all time favourite stamps and I combined it with some distress inks.. I thought that using these colours gave it a bit of a spring colour theme and make it somewhat cheerful. Once I've mounted it onto the card all I have left to do is type up the insert.. This will be words written by my friend herself so it really does come from the heart.

Well I'm off to mount it just now, will do insert tomorrow and then deliver it. Will try to do a little better with my postings tomorrow.. Lol.

New arrival..

Well I've had to take a break from samples to do a few other cards including one for a new arrival..

One of Rob's clients called tonight to apologise for not having returned his call today.. Because he had been at the maternity with his wife and new born son.. How sweet.. It's their 3rd boy.. So had throw together something really quick so it can go in the post tomorrow. Seeing as my last 'classic' card was such a quick make I went down the same line with this one simply with a change of stamp and colour.. I'm one of those who like plain and simple baby cards so this is perfect for my taste.

Well I've got one more to tackle tonight.. Though it may well get finished in the morning if I start getting too sleepy.. Lol.

Classic..

Sometimes there's nothing better than a simple black and white colour scheme to give that classic look to a card..

White card, jet black archival ink pad for the image and corners, black soot for distress.. Oh and a few white adhesive pearls for the finishing touch.

Quick & simple

Here's a very quick and simple make.. Especially for when we forget someone's birthday and need to work like buzz lightyear.. Lol..

Starting with a basic gatefold card.. I used shabby shutters for stamping the swirls, then edged all the panels with peeled paint.. Accent corners were stamped in jet black archival ink.

I love this..

I'm working away on some samples just now and as I'm doing so I thought I'd share this with you..

I'm currently working with stamps from the Words Like Honey range and these clear stamps come complete with an acrylic sheet showing the designs.. One thing I simply love about this.. When I'm deciding what to use.. I simply use the design sheet to get an idea of what the card would look like.. It's quick, it's simple, it's clean..

Right.. Back to work I go..

WOYWW

WOW.... I can't believe this is the first time i've joined in the fun this year at WOYWW but that was mainly due to me being a bit unsociable cause of my toothache... really couldn't be bothered to boot up the pc to do anything... thankfully the routine is slowly but surely returning to normal now...

As you can see the desk it very tidy at the moment... a combination of two things.. first up.. I'm gutting it out and what you see on my desk (with the exception of my book cover and coasters of course) are things waiting to be put up on my wall when hubby gets around to it... lol.. and the other was because I had a lot of craft stuff in the living room when I felt like crap as that way I was comfy on the sofa and not stuck upstairs on an office chair.. well I couldn't get a sore bum could I... a sore tooth was way more than enough for me.. lol.

So today, I've got some work to finish up and then move onto samples that need to be finished by the end of the week... best get to it I guess... but hopefully I'll manage to visit a few of you and get to join in the fun next week again... lol

OMG.. Just realised what the time is.. Been up since around 9.30 yet still in my pj's.. Lol.. We've been sat here chatting and watching tv all morning.. Well it is lazy Sunday isn't it.. :D

So.. Hubby just popped out to the gym for an hour or two.. Time for me to move and jump in shower then it's a crafty afternoon for me.. Woohoo..

Morning all..

Well it's a rather wet day here but thankfully the wind has died down so have to be grateful for small mercies.

I'm still moving at a bit of a slow pace.. Think the lack of sleep in catching up now.. Funny how when you don't sleep you go onto automatic pilot.. Then when you do get a sleep it all catches up.. Sooo strange.. Lol.

Anyway, my challenge to myself this week is to get all the cards done from the magazine so I can get them shipped off at the start of the week and then move on to the next load of samples that are on the agenda.. Woohoo.. This one still needs some gems but I'll add them to all the cards at the end..

So without further ado.. I will bid you all farewell for the moment and I'll be popping back on and off throughout the day.

A very good morning..

Yes that's right folks.. It's a very good morning here in my household.. Had a pretty good sleep last night (only woke up twice) and I'm feeling pretty good.

It will be another day indoors as it's bbbrrrrrr outside and I don't want to get an infection in my socket.. Oh what a shame eh.. Lol.. How on earth will I manage to amuse myself today.. Hhhmmm

So.. Without further ado.. I'm off to get one or two cups of coffee in me whilst I have a wee thought over what to do with my time today...

Morning all

I'm currently still snuggled on the sofa sipping on a wee cup of fresh coffee and wondering if this rain outside is going to be falling all day.

Good news.. Still not much swelling and no bruising yet.. Let's hope it stays that way.. Lol.. I am feeling a distinct lack of energy at the moment though.. At the moment, this could go either way.. A day snoozing on the sofa or maybe the caffeine will kick in and I'll be able to do a few wee things so long as it's not too energetic.. Lucky I've got some distress inks close to hand.. Lol..

Right, that's my morning update and I'm needing another cuppa so I'm off to fill the coffee cup.. No servants here just now.. Shocking.. So I'm having to do it all by myself.. Lol. Keep fingers crossed the caffeine kicks in and I'll make it back later with a wee creation or two.

Just chillin..

Well it's been one heck of a day.. My tooth is now out thankfully.. I've had a wee nap, a wee yogurt, some pain killers and hubby made me some toast and scrambled egg when he came home so at least I don't feel starving any more.. Lol.

How's my face.. Well it's a little swollen.. But if it doesn't get any worse than this I'll be over the moon.. Just have to wait and see if I get any surface bruising or not..

Tonight is going to be a lazy one spent snuggled on the sofa as I've got a bit of a sore head but hopefully I'll feel much better tomorrow and may even get some samples made.. Yippee.. So much better than I could even have hoped for.

Well.. Off to curl up again, thank you for all your well wishes and catch up with you tomorrow again.

At last..

Oh yeah.. The day has finally arrived for me to get rid of this blasted wisdom tooth that has brought misery to my life for the last 3 weeks..

Currently getting some porridge into my belly to tide me by till I am able to eat again and then it will probably be something like scrambled egg.. Lol.

Mother is also at Asda just now before arriving here to stay until my safe return.. You would think I was having open heart surgery.. Lol.. No doubt by the time I get back she'll have the ironing board out.. Well I suppose there can be benefits at times.. Lol.

Needless to say I will probably be pretty quiet on the verbal side of things which could mean trouble for everyone else.. Oh yeah.. Lots of typing required to keep me in touch with everyone..

So before I go.. Thank you to all my wonderful friends for all the support and well wishes you have given me.. It's all been very gratefully received and I feel honoured to have such good friends around me.

Right, off now, mother just pulled into the drive!!!!!!!! Catch ya later.
