Well I've been sorting paperwork and bills this morning and last on the list was this months gas and electricity bill.. Is it any wonder that so many people suffer with asthma, pneumonia and hypothermia!!! I could see the point if my house was lit up like Blackpool illuminations or it felt like I lived in the tropics. Truth is we always have a sweatshirt on in the evenings and with exception of 2 energy saving security lights the only other lights on in the house are those in the room we are in.. Even that socks me for a whopping £165 every month.. Leading to a whopping £1980 per annum!!! Anyone know of a better gas/electricity provider as I'm really tired of Scottish Power robbing me month in and month out.
Sorry about the moan.. Off to finish housework then I'm onto making a treat for my friends daughter from her grandma.
Toodles for now my lovely friends.
Love 'n' hugs

This seems very high. My combined electricity and gas bills are approximately £50 per month (evened out through summer and winter - approx £600 per annum) and I am home all day.

who is your supplier Clare??? My heating is only on for about 2 hours in morning and in the evening it's on for about 5 hours.. nothing on during the day unless it's close to freezing.. lol xxx
We are with Scottish and Southern and pay £86 per month DD and got £300 back again this year so much cheaper than yours. WE have them for Gas too and got £400 back this year xx
Hi Lorraine,
My supplier is British Gas.
During the winter I leave my heating on all the time but with the thermostat set at a medium/low heat. I still leave the heating on if I go out and at night but I turn the thermostat down lower. I was told that this saves fuel as the house doesn't keep having to heat up from very cold. Whether this is true or not I don't know!
I hope you manage to get a better deal.
