WOYWW

WOYWW..... Well due to the events of the last few days there hasn't been any time for crafting and my poor wee room has just been abandoned... it's gonna need some major TLC once things get back to normal... my box of TH goodies has just been deserted on the floor...

and my desk has nothing of any interest on it at the moment... I'm feeling so sorry for it... it doesn't like when it's all alone like this with nothing new or exciting lying it... but... seeing as it's like this, I thought I'd also share one of my disasters with you all....

I had been having a wee play with some lovely fun stamps from Time to Sow... and I thought they would be just perfect to create a wee book card for a child so off I went with my TH inks... gold embossing powder etc and it was coming along a treat.. I was caught up in the moment enjoying myself so much... didn't stop to think did I... and what happened when I coloured the wise men in.... DISASTER.....

Oh yeah.... I picked up a couple of Pro Markers.. coloured them in nice and bright... turned it over to do the other end.... Aaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhh..... yes that was the disaster..... the ink had bled through my card..... I was working on 260gsm...... I was so disappointed as I'd been having a ball and now it's only fit for the bin... back to scratch again soon as I have a minute to myself.
Lesson to be learned.... don't get too carried away playing like a child else disaster could strike at any time..... lol....
Well I hope you're all joining in the fun this week and right now I'm off to get some housework done and finish re-siliconing my shower... it's been a nightmare having to take baths everyday then by the time that's done it will be off to the hospital for afternoon visiting.
Catch up with all soon I hope.
Love 'n' hugs

  1. oh no! How annoying as the project looks absolutly great - lovely color fade - did you use distress inks for that?

  6. Oh that's not good! But I reckon those card fronts can be salvaged and turned into toppers for another project. No need to bin 'em!

  12. That's a shame about your card, it was looking so good too. Still as the saying goes, we learn by our mistakes.

Your desk looks inviting, and there's some room on it to start right away - lol.

  13. Lovely project, I'd do a couple more people (On paper/card) cut them out add them on foam pads to make it look at tho they are a little more forward and no one will realise they are covering the marks
    Happy WOYWW

  14. I stamped some white card stock using Staz-on last year. When I decided to send them, the ink had bled through and I had to cut the image out and adhere it to a different backing. Now you see why I don't stamp (grin). Sorry about that, because they were very well done. Hope your new shower is in by now. If not, you will appreciate it more as the days pass! ('m nunber 1 this week).
