DT Buddy links
RIP to those who lost their lives, may God help their loved ones find comfort and may he also look over those who are still in a critical condition in hospital.
Live life, love well, laugh every day and enjoy the moment.
So now on a much more pleasant note and as a follow up to yesterdays announcement of my amazing new position on the Jones Crafts Design Team, may I introduce you to the remainder of the DT.. Have to say my mind is slightly blown at the talent I'm going to be working alongside. No pressure like!!!
Here goes..

MARION EMBERSON - www.sugarandspicecrafts.blogspot.co.uk
PAULINE WHEELER - www.paulinescreativejourney.blogspot.com
SANDRA CAREY - www.careyscards.blogspot.com
Please do pop over and have a nosey around their blogs and if I were you I'd sign up to follow their pages as they too will be blogging away with gorgeous products just like myself from companies such as Kaiser Crafts and Graphic 45. We've been told our first consignments have been packaged up and posted so hoping that Mr Postie moves as quick as Santa Clause so we all get our deliveries on Monday morning.. don't think we could cope with having to wait any longer. Lol.
If you're a facebook person too then search for Jones Crafts Nottingham and sign up to follow them also as you just never know.. there could be early snippets of things to follow!
First DT projects will be posted on blogs in January so there's not too long to wait and it should give me just about enough time to get my old blog spruced up a bit.. starting tonight.
Right well that's enough from me tonight as I've got some cleaning to start (on here) but hope you enjoy having a nosey at my other DT buddies blogs.

DT news
Well folks I can now break the news that I'm part of the brand new DT for Jones Crafts Nottingham which means I'm going to be creating with lots of yummy stash from companies such as Graphic 45. As if that's not exciting enough we have an amazing group of ladies.. including names I know you will have heard of such as the ubber talented Hels Sheridan so its defo going to be very exciting times ahead.
Full list of design team members and links to their blogs will be uploaded on a post later tonight and hhmmm me thinks I better have a major overhaul of the old blog sooner rather than later as its been pretty neglected over the last year but now's the time to get that rectified so watch this space.

Visitors
We've got some cute wee visitors dotted around the shop in the run up to Christmas. So cute you want to keep touching them.. shame they can't cuddle back. Lol.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends across the pond and hope you're enjoying the celebrations.
Chilling out tonight by knitting a wee scarf for a friends daughter so toodle pip for now and catch you all tomorrow again.

Simplistic
Had an awful day today.. not been out of my pj's and all I've done is vomit and sleep. How lovely! Think the accumulation of painkillers and antibiotics finally got too much for my stomach and it decided to rebel.
Thankfully got an unexpected email tonight that's made me smile but can't share the details with you just yet. Won't be too long though!
Tonight's share is a very simplistic card made using the Britannia holly strip and poinsettias dies. Clean, simple and great for mass production.
Well I'm off to lie down again as I'm pretty much whabbit (exhausted) and I've got work tomorrow so just hope I feel like a different person come morning.
Nighty night all

Hark!
Well folks I've had a wee day playing catch up around the house. Dusting, hoovering and done 5... Yes 5 loads of laundry followed by some ironing and the remainder will be done tomorrow along with stripping the beds. I know it probably sounds sad but its been so nice having a day all to myself to get some order restored around the house again. Still got the craft room to tackle too but that can wait to next weekend.
I'm just about to sit and write out a supplies list for a large wedding stationery order I'm due to start on next week but thankfully remembered I hadn't done my daily post yet so this is it. Sadly I can't remember the manufacturer of the Herald Angel embossing folder.. brain isn't functioning 100% just now due to the pain from this stupid toothach! but it was coloured with pan pastels and I decided to do some blue and purple poinsettias and ivy.
Well guess I better go make a start on my list so till tomorrow.. nighty night.

Wee change
Decided upon another unusual colour combo for Christmas.. this time its pink with lime green. Some will like and some won't but that's half the fun of sample making.. finding something for everyone.
Merry Christmas : Memory Box die
Poinsettias & Ivy : Britannia dies
Well my tooth is still throbbing so really hoping my antibiotics start kicking in and easing the pressure soon.. in the meantime, I'm still on the 4 hour pain killer rota.
Off to do a little crochet and hopefully hubby can find something good for us to watch on tv. Toodles for now.

Demo sample
Pizza is just about ready but thought I'd post another sample I made for today's demo at Craft World before I start stuffing my face.
Polystyrene ball, painted black to create shadow, hanging ribbon pinned in place then covered the ball with poinsettias & ivy all cut using Britannia dies. These will look fab hanging on the tree.
Off to check on my pizza now so toodles for the moment and catch ya all laters.

Black magic
Evening all.. just a quick post as I'm off to make a start on some more samples for Saturday but thought I'd take a minute to share a pic of one of the cards I made at the NEC. Good old black & white.
Sentiment is one of the three that comes with the Tonic cracker die
Ivy : Britannia die
Poinsettias : Britannia die
More to follow later but right now I'm off to do some more die cutting.

Traditional style
Decided to go with good old traditional green, red & gold for my wreath.
Used Britannia poinsettias dies (small, medium & large), Britannia ivy die, gold berry stems from Anna Marie designs and a little gold stickles.
Mums hubby has been in hospital again since Saturday but was discharged today so hopefully this time he'll manage to stay home for more than a few days without being readmitted. Apparently the hospital told them that he's in a safer environment at home as he is picking stuff up whilst in hospital and he's being sent home during the incubation period then next thing you know he's unwell again. Really doesn't make the hospital sound good if they can't protect patients from infection within their own wards.
Anyway, going to sign off as I'm currently trying to soak my false nails off and heading to bed soon as its done as I'm in the shop next two days and have felt pretty crap since Sunday so want a good sleep tonight.

Construction time
Keeping myself busy today with the main frame followed by filling in the gaps.. I could be some time. Lol.

It's that time again!
I've had to succumb and admit that Christmas is just around the corner again and you can certainly tell in this house today.. poinsetta, poinsetta everywhere. Lol. Still quite a few to be made up so off to get busy again as lots more projects to create after this one.

Catch up time
Well folks I've been super quiet this week so thought is give you an update on what's been happening and share a wee card at the same time so here goes.
Monday.. PJ day to recover from my NEC trip. Absolutely loved it too. Lol.
Tuesday.. the house needed cleaned as did the washing after my trip!
Wednesday.. back go work day at Craft World
Thursday.. another day at the shop.
Today.. hhmmmm. Think its called another PJ day. Lol. I did however manage to make a card for someone special and arrange another demo day so not too bad considering I've been sitting on my bum. Lol.
Card was constructed using bazzill cardstock, Raspberry Road papers, sentiment disc and card candy from Craftwork Cards, topper from Hobby House and the ivy & flowers were cut using Britannia dies.
Well that's it for now folks as I'm off to make myself some tea before I make a start on my crochet. Not managed to get any squares done for about a month now and with the chill factor increasing rapidly I really need to make haste so I can get my blanket completed.

Sparkly
Quick post before my lift arrives and I depart for the NEC.. here's a sneaky peak at a sample I made this morning.
Will do my best to take daily pics at the show for anyone who won't be there in person. My mouth is watering already at the thought of all the yummy food I'll be consuming in the evenings. Lol.
Happy crafting all.

Tonic time..
Getting ready for Christmas. Perhaps I would be better packing my case first but decided that can wait till tomorrow. Lol.
New Arrivals..
No chance of recognizing these two faces but they are the lovely Errol & Michael hard at work in the shop today.. hhmmm wonder if anyone recognised what they were building. If not.. allow me to tell you that these are the latest arrival in the shop.. the WorkBox.. oh yeah!!! Those fabulous units that contain all your crafting goodies yet simply look like a unit once everything is packed away and the doors are closed.
Sadly I can't tell you any more on them just now as we're setting off for the NEC tomorrow but when I'm back in the shop next week I'll fill you in on some more details. Just wanted to let you know that they'll soon be on sale in the shop soon.. just in nice time for a special Christmas pressie. Lol.
