Ken from Spellbinders

Well folks another day is almost over and I've spent most of it going in and out of the front door... Just one of those days. Lol.  Anyway, I finally managed to take my shoes off around 9.30pm and chill for a bit but I'm back to prepping some samples ready for construction tomorrow.  Heaven forbid I just sit and watch tv!

Its a busy few weeks ahead as I've got till next Tuesday to construct and post my samples, next Wednesday is set up day at the SECC,  Thursday-Sunday is show time followed by break down, then on the Monday I need to go to Dundee for a hospital appt with the dear old hubby.  Get a wee break after that for 2 weeks to catch up with my own work before departing for the NEC..  another wee break away from home with good company and good food..  I do love my road trips.  Lol.

Time to get back to cutting I guess so hope you like today's pics and I think it will be back to more samples from PaperArtsy tomorrow so make sure you check in for a nosey.

Night all.

My favourite picture of Karen.. love her smile, and it had nothing to do with the wine in her right hand, but was everything to do with the lilac frosted cupcake in her left hand.  Lol

Eye spy

How wicked is this piece of artwork from the ubber talented Andy Skinner.  He takes mixed media to a new level with some of his projects.
Well I've spent the day in a less creative form as I've been sitting working on some crochet orders whilst catching up on tv shows I taped whilst away and right now I have one of my wee bunnies out having extra love from mummy.. well he is nearly 10 year old so he's pretty special.  Depending on the 'hubs' plans for tomorrow I may venture to the craft room for an hour or two.

Catch you all later.

Trade show display

Evening all..  thought I would share some pictures I took at the trade show when I was there.

This and the two posts below are all creations made using PowerTex.   What a fantastic product range and one I would love to play with.

Well my post will be brief tonight as I've been out most of the day, firstly having a wee crafty play with friends this morning, commencing to more serious business discussions but thankfully that included product testing so can't complain.  Lol.   Got home around 6pm, returned a few phone calls, tended animals, tidied up, done the washing and have just finished dinner..  hhmmm think I really need to try and eat at a normal time a bit more often.  Lol.

With that said I will sign off for now as I quite fancy making a cuppa and putting my slippers on.  Back tomorrow with some more pics from the show.

My bezel make

Ken was doing some make and takes on the stand so we obviously had to join in and this is the bezel I made.

We had a wonderful fun filled few days at the Hobby Craft and Stitch International show and I would like to thank everyone who we met along the way for making it the best show to date yet.  Looking forward to next year now.

Anyway, remember to enter my wee giveaway too which I was supposed to have drawn at the weekend but initially the settings were wrong and no one was able to leave a comment and as I need to play catch up for the next few days I have decided to keep it open until this weekend so there is still time to enter.

Catch you all later.

Manny thanks to the lovely Ken from Spellbinders for my cool gift.

PaperArtsy workshop

Such a fun filled class using new release stamps and fresco paints.

Jofy stamps.

These are gorgeous stamps and so much fun to play with.  Special thanks to Leandra for starting off my collection.

New stamps..

Done an amazing workshop with Leandra from PaperArtsy and she allowed us all to keep a set of stamps..  how cool is that!

Fabric painting workshop

This was a proper fun one..  especially when my paint brush went flying and her face got a beauty mark the same colour as her hair.  Lol.

GIVEAWAY TIME

Evening all..  I'm working away in the craft room just now on some samples I can't yet show and as I was sticking some stuff together I thought I'd do a wee giveaway.
I know a lot of you have already tried this glue but at the same time a lot of you haven't so I've got a bottle up for grabs to one lucky person.
To enter simply leave me a comment stating whether you have or have not already tried Beacon's 3 in 1 glue or infact any other glue from their range.
Feel free to share with your blogging buddies if you want but you are under no commitment to do so.  The lucky winner will be selected randomly in 1 weeks time.
Good luck.

Baby set

Morning all..  got a busy day ahead today as I've got some paperwork to do, a new CD to make samples for, a project to play with and an airport run to do.

Anyway, I thought I'd start the day by sharing a wee matching crochet hat and cardigan set I made a week or two ago.  I'm so into my crochet just now and love doing it watching tv at night.

Well folks I know I've been brief but I'm off to make a start on my to do's and will hopefully make it back later tonight to share something else.

Take care

More prep..

Evening all..  wow 2 days in a row!  Could I possibly be returning to normal?   Lol.

Well I had a lazy start to the day, done the housework, emptied and put away all the ironing, watched a wee movie with hubby, took my pals new car out a test drive, tried to save an injured bird as my other friends kids were worried about it, done some admin work, tended animals and now its a wee bit late to start in the craft room..  gutted.   Instead, I've got NCIS Los Angeles on tv and I'm going to prep another project so it will at least be ready for me once I finish the bin.  May do some crochet later too.

Hope you've all had a fantastic weekend.

Happy crafting

A close up of the base so you can see a little clearer what I've done.

All 5 pieces of the bin so far

Product packaging to give you an idea of what I'm working on

It's been a while...

Well folks it certainly has been a while since I was last in the land of blog so what's been happening?

Well I was no sooner back from the NEC when I started working at Craft World in Hillington on the run up to Christmas.  Obviously that was followed by the merriment of Christmas itself and the New Year festivities.  January started well and we really have managed to dodge most of the snow which is wonderful.  I spent the month sorting out a lot of stuff around the house including emptying the ironing basket, which trust me was no mean feat.  Total of 6 hours over 2 days!!!   I've spent most nights doing some crochet hats and cardigans which I can share with you later but seeing as I actually spent time in my craft room today I thought I would start by sharing some pics of the project I have started on which is a fab wooden bin by Kaiser Crafts.

First up I primed it then added 2 coats of paint, sanding between coats of course, then I got to play using some Tim Holtz and Indigo Blu stamps, along with some Fresco paint.  The plan is for this to be the inside of the bin so if I stick to that I won't add anything else and will simply seal.  Going to be on the safe side though and wait to see what I do on the other side first before making a final decision.

Well folks time to sign off and chillax.  Have a fab weekend.

Love 'n' hugs
